Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and carpet cleaners to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for mixing, applying, and disposing of floor cleaning chemicals and other cleaning solutions.
- Conduct floor care activities such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing floors to restore their appearance and durability.
- Execute specialized cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and floor refinishing to meet specific client requirements.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of equipment or supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance for accountability and quality assurance.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices.
- Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and carpet cleaners.
- Strong understanding of floor care techniques such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing floors.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following environmental health standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or building occupants.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required during routine cleaning operations.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices aimed at sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning solutions.
