Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HVAC Operations Manager to lead operations for a start-up HVAC franchise in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC services, business management, and sales. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, ensuring compliance, and managing and training technicians. Must hold a TDLR class A or C license.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Operations Management
- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with TDLR & HVAC regulations, licensing, and safety requirements
- Manage KPIs and profitability metrics
Sales & Customer Relations
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and partnerships
- Oversee the sales team and ensure excellent customer service
- Identify new business opportunities and market expansion strategies
Technical & Compliance Management
- Ensure all HVAC installations and repairs comply with Texas state regulations and industry standards
- Stay up to date on Texas HVAC licensing and training requirements
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to optimize equipment purchasing
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, train, and manage HVAC technicians and administrative staff
- Foster a positive company culture with a focus on safety and professionalism
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience
- HVAC education and training
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC business management or sales
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installations, and Texas licensing requirements
Certifications & Licensing
- Must hold an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation - TDLR)
- EPA Certification
- OSHA safety certification is a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Financial awareness and experience managing P&L
- Proficiency in HVAC business software (ServiceTitan experience preferred)
