This position is a great fit a new graduate who has the drive to learn about Federal litigation. Primarily administrative law in the Federal 2nd Circuit court. In this position you will work as part of a team advocating for domestic and international clients with Defense Base Act claims with primary responsibilities including defending claimant depositions, vocational assessments, client meetings, drafting pleadings, attend bench decisions, and draft written briefs.
Candidates must be admitted or soon to be. Training provided for candidates who may not have experience in this specialty but has experience in other practice.
Requirements
- Admitted in Florida in good standing and licensed to practice law (sworn in)
- Very organized and deadline driven
- Federal experience is a plus.
- Strong computer technical skills to stay organized in a paperless office environment
- Good communication with clients
- Work in a paperless environment
- Strong comprehension on how to write motions, briefs, etc.
