American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience and RRT or CRT certification for a 13-week day shift contract at an acute care hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Work in the Respiratory Care department of a 337-bed acute care hospital
-
Facility features a Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, and Level III NICU
-
Adult and NICU patient population with no pediatric care
-
Average census of 300+ patients per day
-
12-hour day shift schedule, 0700-1900, 36 hours per week
-
Weekend rotation every other weekend
-
Holiday coverage required for approximately 75% of holidays
-
No on-call or call-back requirements
-
Required to float within Region 2 including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any Freestanding ED within the region, and Central Division facilities (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children's Hospital), as needed and within scope of practice

Uses Epic EMR
-
Department equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
-
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience

RRT or CRT certification required
-
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
-
NC state licensure required
-
License required if applicable
-
Skills required in Critical Care, CVICU, NICU, ED, Progressive Care, and all floor therapies

Epic EMR experience
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year if previously in a permanent position there

Backfilling a day shift position within the Respiratory Care department

Supported by Respiratory Care leadership and staff

Orientation includes NEO (New Employee Orientation) plus 2 days of departmental orientation

Royal blue scrub color required

Traveler's permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the home unit; local candidates are not accepted
