Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in providing strategic financial guidance to support our organization's growth and sustainability.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts to guide strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and monitor performance against those budgets.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on financial concepts and best practices.
- Write comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders that clearly communicate financial status.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with Dealertrack DMS, DLR, & other required softwares
- Proven experience in public accounting or as a Controller in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and overall accounting principles.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is essential.
- Experience with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast financial trends effectively.
- Proficient in financial report writing with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,988.80 - $73,448.88 per year
