We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct routine mobile maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns in parking lots and on the road including but not limited to brake chambers, air bags, valves, wheel seals, tires, check engine lights, loss of power, air leaks, coolant leaks, shocks, etc.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues using automotive diagnostics tools and computers
- Perform preventative maintenance and federal inspections on units
- Collaborate with other mechanics and management personnel to ensure timely repairs
- Maintain a service truck, regularly cleaning it and maintaining stock of parts. Restock service truck with approved vendors as needed
*Experience*
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics for diesel engines
- Previous experience in a garage is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
