Piety Hill Cottages, a boutique inn in Nevada City, is seeking a part time groundskeeper / maintenance person. We are looking for a motivated person with a great attitude and a working knowledge of landscaping and maintenance skills.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Lawn Mowing
- Weeding / Weed Eating
- Raking / Leaf Blowing
- Basic tree and shrub trimming
- Cleaning gutters
- Basic property maintenance and repairs (carpentry, plumbing)
- Interior and Exterior Painting Projects
- Assisting in moving furniture and other large objects around the property
- Occasional assistance with demo and renovation projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of basic landscaping skills
- Familiarity and comfort using landscaping power tools (mower, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, weed eater etc.)
- Familiarity with and comfort using basic power tools (power drill, power saws etc.)
- Comfort working on an 8+ foot ladder
- Safety focused
- Advanced skills in landscaping and/or maintenance are a plus!
- Skilled in basic maintenance tasks is a plus! (Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- Friendly attitude, customer service oriented
- High standard of quality with an eye for the details
- Reliable transportation to work (access to a truck is a plus)
- Ability to work with variable hours and work load
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward
This is a part time position with flexible hours. It will require about 8-10 hrs per week with opportunities for additional hours if desired. The position will begin with a one month trial period
Pay is $20 per hour.
Any mileage driven for work will be reimbursed.
