Part-Time Security Officer (HOA Community)
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Employment Type: Part-Time (24 hours per week)
Position Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Part-Time Security Officer to provide security services for a residential Homeowners Association (HOA) community in Dallas, TX. This position requires a strong security presence while maintaining positive interactions with residents, guests, vendors, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a residential environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the HOA community to ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, and property.
- Control access points and verify resident, guest, and vendor entry as required.
- Provide a welcoming and professional presence at all times.
- Observe, document, and report suspicious activities, incidents, and safety concerns.
- Assist residents and visitors by providing information and addressing general inquiries.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Enforce community rules and security procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
- Maintain awareness of community activities and report maintenance, safety, or security issues.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, contractors, and HOA staff.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively during incidents or emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in residential communities, gated communities, or HOA environments.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Familiarity with access control and visitor management procedures.
