Job Summary
The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing is a live-in member of the Residence Life and Housing professional staff and is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and coordination of the total residence life program at the college. The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing is responsible for providing leadership to residence programs and students who live in the college housing. The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing will assist in all housing administration and facility-related processes to support student success and a positive residential experience. The Coordinator works collaboratively with all campus departments and is responsible for assisting the Director of Residence Life and Housing in assessing residence operations, Residence Life Activities, recruiting new resident students, check -in and check-out process, summer operations and increasing occupancy of the Residence Halls.

- Coordinate and oversee, with the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the administrative, housing processes, operations, and Residence Hall software.
- Provide supervision for Office Assistants, Resident Assistants, and other related staff members as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
- Participate in evening and weekend duty coverage on a rotational basis with other designated professional staff. Respond during emergency or crisis situations in residence halls and participate in on-call/emergency including overseeing – on ground, evenings and weekends as the on-call administrator.
- Coordinate aspects of camps, conferences, and guests staying on campus in the Residential community during the summer as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
- Create an academic environment conducive to living-learning and scholarly pursuits (e.g. living-learning communities, faculty interaction, and student programming).
- Facilitate student events and training and leadership development programs for/with Resident Assistants, Office Assistants, and other student leaders as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
- Provide support to athletic events to engage students and increase participation.
- Assist in the development of student learning outcomes and measurements.
- Develop and provide on-going reports.
- Provide leadership to and oversight of all residential facilities and personnel with and for the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
- Conduct informal resolution conferences with students involved in alleged violations and initiate referrals to the campus conduct process as appropriate.
- Assist with campus ID cards and access systems as needed or directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
- Provide student support and refer individual students on a wide range of academic, personal and disciplinary matters, referring to various on- or off-campus resources as appropriate.
- Participate in relevant committee assignments.
- Remain competent and current through professional development including self-directed reading and networking with colleagues.
- Campus Security Authority: This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the Clery Compliance Officer (CCO) a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of.

Minimum Qualifications (Employees of the District are required to possess a minimum proficiency level of English, both written and spoken, that will enable them to communicate safely, effectively, and efficiently with students, co-workers, and the public.)
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
· Live-in residence life work experience.
· Possess a valid driver's license.
· Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master's degree in student Personnel or closely related field.
· One year of experience in college student housing, developing workshops and conducting staff training.
· Experience and training working with Title IX.
· Previous work experience consistent with the position.

Supervisory and Management Responsibility
- Oversee 2-3 office assistants, 6-8 Resident Assistants, part-time student staff and perform annual evaluations.

· Must be an energetic, innovated individual who is self-disciplined, detail oriented, able to work late hours and Weekends, as well as relates well to college students.
· Typical work week will include some evening hours. Weekends will include Student Programming which can include late nights.
· Must be able to climb stairs, interact with a wide variety of people, set up intramural equipment.
