Sagewood Childcare is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our boutique program in Exeter, NH. This is a position with consistent hours, a very small infant, young toddler & preschool age group, and supportive, hands-on leadership.
We are a brand new center (Opened Fall of 25) and are growing! We are looking for a confident teacher who values consistency, routine, and meaningful care without the chaos of a large center.
Position Details
- Monday-Friday (flexible schedule)
- Operating Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Small 0-6 age group
- $20–$25/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to children in a licensed setting
- Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, sleep, and play
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate clearly with families about daily care and milestones
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Work closely with program leadership during a thoughtful growth period
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with infants, young toddlers, preschoolers in a licensed child care setting
- Meets NH child care staff qualification requirements
- Reliable, calm, and confident caring for children
- Comfortable working independently with small groups
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- 18 college credist in early childhood education (3 must be in child growth and development) or 12 credit and 3000 hours of qualifying childcare experience.
