Job Purpose
Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory management, fleet management, tool management and supervision of all warehouse staff and locations. This is a service-oriented position with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a professional environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Practice the company’s mission, vision, and values
- Receiving materials, inspects material, checking for shortages, and rejecting damaged goods as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Develops product movement and storage systems.
- Oversight of all shipping including UPS, FedEx, truck, pulling inventory, staging materials for contractors, coordinating with Project Managers for delivery and general coordination with vendors.
- Track inventory, monitor and maintain stock levels.
- Responsible for charging/ Billing/ modifying inventory to Work Orders.
- Perform Warehouse assistant duties as needed
- Data entry into job tracking software
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management
- Address any problems or complaints that may arise quickly and amicably
- Work as a team member in meeting the needs of the company
- Training, coaching and management of warehouse personnel.
- Improve warehouse processes for future company growth
- Manage/ Supervise Warehouse team, create schedules, route, workflow, and performance.
- Fleet Management (vehicle maintenance, inspections, preparing vehicles for employee use, scheduling/calendar maintenance).
- Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the warehouse (take ownership of maintaining an orderly warehouse) including sweeping and general organization.
- Ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed with all personnel at all locations and attend safety training.
- Oversee daily operations of warehouse(s).
- Check in materials into Core
- Approving time sheets for support staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- This position requires a committed individual that can “take ownership” of all Warehouse activities.
- 2-3 years Warehouse experience some leadership experience (required).
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
- Experience operating a forklift, Box truck and hitched vehicles and trailers.
- Dependability and stability are essential.
- Attentive to details
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proactive with good planning skills (must be able to plan, anticipate and think ahead for self and direct reports).
- Some basic handyman skills and able to use basic tools (building and reconfiguring things based on needs).
- Ability to work well with all levels of staff; demonstrator of teamwork and service oriented.
Technological Skills
Basic computer skills.
Must be knowledgeable of Word, Excel, Office, and Some type of Inventory Management Software.
Other Skills & Characteristics
Must be able to multitask.
Working Conditions
Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to loud noise levels, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, mechanical hazards. Employees may interact with staff and/or public and private representatives.
Physical Requirements
Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
