Family Law Paralegal – Coral Gables, FL Join Our Growing Family Law Team Castellon, Laurent & Schlesinger, LLC is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. We are looking for someone who is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping clients navigate difficult family law matters. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to providing exceptional support to our attorneys and outstanding service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage family law cases from intake through final resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, notices, financial affidavits, mandatory disclosures, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and final judgments.
- Prepare hearing, mediation, and trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, and other litigation materials.
- Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
- Maintain attorney calendars and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and court personnel.
- Organize and review financial records, discovery, and case documents.
- Prepare and electronically file pleadings through the Florida E-Filing Portal.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support.
- Maintain accurate billing entries and case management records.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Family Law Paralegal is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
- Knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court rules.
- Experience drafting family law pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, discovery, notices, and other legal documents.
- Experience with the Florida E-Filing Portal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel); experience with legal case management software is a plus.
- Professional, dependable, client-focused, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
