We are a privately owned restaurant and retail business seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cleaning & Maintenance Specialist to ensure our facilities remain pristine, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services, performing routine maintenance tasks, and adhering to safety protocols to create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, and customer facing spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitation to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops and other cleaning tools efficiently and safely.
- Assist with light repairs or maintenance tasks around the facility to support overall building upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or issues requiring specialized repair or attention.
Requirements
- Consistent availability Wednesday - Sunday.
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff and visitors.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
