Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Cake Decorator to join our wholesale bakery. In this role, you will be responsible for custom cakes, wholesale cakes and cheesecakes. Duties
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail using various piping techniques
- Prepare cakes for display and sale by applying finishing touches that enhance visual appeal
- Assist in food preparation tasks including mixing, baking, and assembling baked goods in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the decorating station, tools, and equipment following food handling regulations
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill custom orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all food production activities adhere to health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Expertise in cake decorating techniques
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in a kitchen setting
- Experience with food preparation, baking, and pastry arts within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Ability to manage multiple orders while maintaining high-quality standards under time constraints
- Customer service skills to understand client preferences and deliver personalized designs
- Familiarity with catering or large-scale food production processes is a plus
- Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in baking, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
