The Marketplace General Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all
aspects of the business to ensure its smooth operation and success. The GM is expected to
be able to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and employees while
ensuring efficient and profitable day-to-day operations. The GM has high personal
standards and is passionate about the details that matter to the overall appearance of our
bakery café, supporting our guest experience. The GM supports the Company’s success by
being a people developer and having an owner operator mentality.
Key responsibilities include the following.
- Recruit, train and develop employees to ensure that the café is optimally staffed
throughout the year and able to plan appropriately for future staffing needs.
- Writing schedules that will support employee’s learning curves while ensuring an
optimal guest experience and staying within the fiscal guardrails.
- Modeling authentic hospitality and responsible for instilling this behavior within the
team.
- Displays the ability to have hard conversations with employees, if needed, to
maintain high standards and improve performance.
- Overseeing all Marketplace purchases, optimizing freshness while staying within
budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures Food Safety in the cafe.
- Responding to online reviews and all guest feedback in a timely manner.
- Overseeing all café administrative tasks and maintains accurate records and
documentation for audits.
- Is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and labor
laws.
- Ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards, and that presentation of
our bakery case is maintained throughout the various day parts according to our
guidelines.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and makes informed decisions to
implement cost-saving measures and strategies to increase revenue through the
various sales channels.
- Upholding DORO Marketplace brand and facility standards by responding timely to
any R&M issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
