The Cape Neddick Lobster Pound Harborside Restaurant is seeking an Dining Room Manager. The Dining Room Manager position is a very hands on role, with in what will be a very busy establishment. This position has growth opportunity for the right individual This position requires the right individual to think on their feet and be quick at providing great service.
We source many of our ingredients from local purveyors and use only the highest quality available. Our ideal candidates will have previous experience, possess a fun and personable attitude, want a flexible schedule, are punctual and have reliable transportation.
The Dining Room Manager must be able to provide service to the guests to the set specifications and standards while maintaining composure, poise and hygienic practices.
Seeking an experienced dining room manager, this position would work in conjunction with the General Manger. This position has enormous growth potential if desired. This is a very hands on role, with in a very busy location. This position requires the right individual to think on their feet and be quick at providing great service. The position would be responsible for
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Customer service
· Managing dining room
· Cash control
· Maintaining a positive environment with all team members
· Sanitation
· Opening and closing duties
· Being the MOD during shifts
· Securing the building upon end of day
· Bar knowledge
- Set up dining/bar area
- Have knowledge of the menu (food and beverages)
- Wine knowledge
- Beer knowledge
- Serve menu items compliant with established standards
- Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions
- Close the FOH areas at the end of shifts
- Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
- Keep the work area fresh all through the shift
- Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately
- Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices
- Returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas
- Assist with all duties as assigned
· Other duties as required
Qualifications:
· Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
· Prior experience in a fast paced environment, while providing great service
· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
· Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
