Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support a highly available Microsoft Windows–based infrastructure. This role is responsible for advanced system engineering, platform optimization, and serving as a technical escalation point while partnering closely with security, networking, applications, and IT leadership.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows environments

Expert knowledge of:

Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025)

Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

PowerShell scripting and automation

Strong experience with virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper‑V)

Experience supporting hybrid or cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).

Bachelor's Degree in informational technology or related field

Proven experience troubleshooting complex systems issues

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments (on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud)

Architect and support Active Directory, including GPOs, DNS, DHCP, trusts, and identity integrations

Lead server lifecycle management, including builds, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning

Engineer high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions
-
Provide Tier 3 escalation support for systems‑related incidents and problems
-
Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture; proactively address risks
-
Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective action planning for complex outages

Ensure systems meet SLAs, compliance requirements, and operational best practices

Develop automation using PowerShell and related tooling to improve efficiency and reliability

Standardize system builds and configurations using infrastructure‑as‑code or configuration management tools

Continuously optimize system performance and capacity

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Document architecture, standards, processes, and procedures

Participate in infrastructure planning, budgeting, and roadmap development

Collaborate with application, network, and security teams on cross‑platform initiatives

The hiring range for this position is $86700.00– $101150.00 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, and dental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paid holidays.
