Immediate opening for Kitchen Manager/Banquet Cook. The Wood is a year round restaurant/bar with a nine hole golf course. Fast paced, from scratch tavern menu, open to public, and members with a strong focus on catering events and parties. Small staff/limited menu. Position includes line work, banquet prep with focus on kitchen management.
Job Duties:
- Inventory control and organization
- Assist with improving best practices
- Assist with creation of pars/par guides
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Assist creating and implementing recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Work and communicate as a team member, as well as independently without supervision
Requirements:
- Management experience
- Inventory Control
- Catering/Banquet Experience. Banquet menu creation a plus
- Positive and patient attitude
- Basic knife skills
- Minimum 2 years restaurant experience
- Ability to work under pressure
