Tape & Texture Drywall Manager

Salary: $80,000+ per year (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing leader in the manufactured home industry, is seeking an experienced Tape & Texture Drywall Manager to oversee finishing operations and ensure high-quality production standards. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong drywall finishing expertise and proven experience managing teams in a construction or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all tape & texture drywall operations within the facility and/or job sites
- Supervise, train, and mentor drywall finishing crews to ensure efficiency and quality
- Ensure all work meets company standards, production timelines, and safety requirements
- Coordinate workflow, labor allocation, and material usage to maximize productivity
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve production challenges, and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with production, construction, and quality teams to meet overall project goals
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in drywall tape & texture operations (manufactured housing or construction preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews on production floors or construction sites
- Strong knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufactured housing or modular construction preferred but will also consider construction site experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement practices
