Position Overview
A stable and growing international company in Torrance is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Japanese Bilingual Inventory Coordinator.
This position supports daily inventory, purchasing, and supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory data, processing purchase orders, communicating with vendors and internal departments, and preparing reports using Microsoft Excel.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers and data, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys coordinating with different departments in a fast-paced team environment.
This role will also provide occasional backup assistance with basic IT-related tasks when the IT team is unavailable. Previous IT experience is not required. Training will be provided for candidates who are comfortable with technology and interested in learning new skills.
Workload
Inventory, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Operations: 90–95%

Key Responsibilities
Inventory and Purchasing Operations
Maintain and update inventory records

Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control
-
Process purchase orders and maintain purchasing documentation
-
Communicate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and product information
-
Coordinate with internal departments regarding inventory and purchasing needs
-
Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies
-
Support logistics, supply chain, and import/export operations as needed
-
Maintain accurate data, files, and operational records
-
Prepare and update reports using Microsoft Excel

Assist with other administrative and operational duties as assigned

Basic IT Backup Support — Training Provided
When the IT team is unavailable, provide basic backup assistance with tasks such as:
Basic Microsoft 365 support, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams

Basic troubleshooting for common computer or system issues

SharePoint user and permission management

Basic networking assistance
-
Basic support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related systems

This is not an IT position. IT-related duties are limited and will only be assigned when backup support is needed. Previous IT experience is not required, and training will be provided.
Qualifications
Previous purchasing or buyer experience is not required. Candidates with related experience in inventory, logistics, supply chain, import/export, order processing, or data coordination are encouraged to apply.

Business-level Japanese communication skills
