Manhattan Youth is looking for a Tennis Instructor to join our dedicated team for the Summer 2025 and (2025-2026) academic school year.
Manhattan Youth runs organized sports teams and clubs for a variety of sports including, basketball, soccer, softball, baseball/tee ball, lacrosse, cross country running, track & field, volleyball, floor hockey, wrestling, flag football, ultimate frisbee, table tennis, fencing, cheerleading, and tumbling/gymnastics. Fitness activities include yoga, Zumba and general fitness.
All Sports Instructors are expected to guide students in their social, emotional, and academic development across a range of areas including sports, arts, academic enrichment, and leadership. We are looking for creative, energetic, curious, and enthusiastic teachers with a commitment to positive behavioral approaches and teamwork.
Qualified applicants are proactive, caring and results-oriented teachers devoted to evidence-based practices that promote student achievement and well-being. The ability to maintain a positive, caring, and fun attitude; to learn and grow from mistakes; and to set an example as a continuous, open-minded learner is critical. Sports Instructors will exhibit creativity, innovation and passion in teaching and are expected to help create an environment that encourages in children creative thinking, verbal communication, independent exploration, self-confidence, self-awareness, and a problem-solving approach to conflict.
These are part-time, hourly positions available during the Summer starting July 15th and ending August 15th and also during the 2025-2026 academic school year.
Summer hours are from 9am - 11:30 am (2) days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, and will be for children aged 3-5 years. After-school programs operate Monday – Friday from 2:30 - 6:00pm and clubs are 1.25 to 2.5 hours long, and cater to elementary school aged children. Individual schedules will vary by school. Opportunities exist to teach multiple clubs at different schools.
Pay: $44/hour
