Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and the ability to adapt to diverse medical settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating patient treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Your role is vital in promoting health, managing complex cases, and supporting patient recovery across various specialties including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by performing thorough assessments, developing individualized care plans, and monitoring vital signs and physiological parameters.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic to document patient information, medical histories, and treatment progress efficiently.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging support such as sonography or radiology when necessary.
- Manage complex cases involving trauma medicine, critical care (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), or specialty areas like cardiology, ophthalmology, or infectious disease care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as emergency rooms, surgical units, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, discharge instructions, and health coaching strategies to promote ongoing wellness.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records while supporting quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in advanced nursing procedures including IV infusion, suturing, catheterization (including Foley and ostomy care), ventilator management, and tube feeding.
- Strong background in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers with knowledge of physiology and acute pain management.
- Familiarity with specialized fields including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), pediatrics (neonatal resuscitation), geriatrics (memory care & Alzheimer's), or long-term care settings like nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations while applying medical terminology accurately.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient handling across various clinical environments.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; capable of triage in urgent care or emergency settings.
- Skilled in medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech; familiar with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate billing and reporting.

Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
