KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and team members while accurately operating the point-of-sale system within the hospital cafeteria.

This position supports daily cafeteria operations by handling cash transactions, stocking products, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, assisting with food service activities, and ensuring a welcoming dining environment.

The Cashier plays an important role in promoting a positive customer experience while supporting food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
No experience is required.
Prior food service experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
Requires the ability to climb ladders.
Physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment.
