Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations with efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage patient records and ensure that all necessary information is updated and stored securely.
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments, maintaining clear communication about financial obligations.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with the dental team to facilitate smooth patient flow and assist with any necessary administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area, promoting a comfortable environment for patients.
- Manage all aspects of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Manage all aspects of patient treatment, discharge planning, and follow-up.
- Communicate with patients and providers to ensure effective coordination of care.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
- Maintain the front desk calendar and schedule appointments for providers.
- Assist in scheduling patients by calling patients off schedule and rescheduling if necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in answering telephones and answering questions about services or facilities by providers.
- Assist in answering general office questions by visitors or patients who are not familiar with the practice or who do not have a direct line to the practice manager.
Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service or front office administration is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage patient records accurately.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and handle a fast-paced work environment.
A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
