Role Description: The Journeyman role at Sierra Ridge Deck And Siding is a full-time, on-site position based in El Dorado county, CA. In this role, the Journeyman will perform hands-on carpentry and construction tasks related to deck building, siding installation, repairs, and maintenance. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans, measuring and cutting materials, operating power and hand tools safely, and assisting with project setup and cleanup. The Journeyman will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule, meet company quality standards, and comply with safety regulations. This role also involves interacting respectfully with clients on-site and contributing to a positive, professional work environment. This is a bags on working position.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate journeyman-level experience in carpentry, deck construction, or siding installation, with strong practical skills on various residential projects.
- Ability to read blueprints or project drawings, follow measurements accurately, and interpret job specifications with attention to detail.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools and power tools, with a solid understanding of job-site safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, working outdoors in varying conditions, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in El Dorado County and consistent punctuality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training, apprenticeship completion, or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver's license

- Experience in the local area or familiarity with El Dorado County construction standards is beneficial.
