DEPOSIT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

JOB FUNCTION: The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for the day to day back-office client support functions of the Bank. Offers excellent customer service to all clients and assistance to other banking personnel in research and client satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Display professionalism and always provides exceptional client service.
2. Reviews deposit application balancing reports (DDA, MMDA, SAV, CDs, Interest accrued accounts, Overdrafts), research unposted items, rejects and out of balance situations.
3. Processes NSF exceptions, Fed adjustments, research suspense accounts, and meets Fed returns deadline.
4. Balances ATM system totals daily and researches any discrepancies.
5. Reviews fraud detection reports, closed accounts, stop payments, and hold reports.
6. Assists clients with stop payments (check or ACH), closing and servicing accounts through online and core channels.
7. Assists clients with incoming and outgoing wire transfers and set up of Wire Transfer Agreement.
8. Settles funds between correspondent banks, sets up Positive Pay and ACH Origination Agreements, monitoring and reporting.
9. Processes and monitors Modern Fi investments and third-party sweeps.
10. Assists in the set-up of Positive Pay and ACH Origination Agreements, monitoring and reporting.
11. Assists clients with Reg E disputes, processes Levies, Freezes, Garnishments, Subpoenas, and Reclamations.
12. Processes Levies, Freezes, Garnishments, Subpoenas, and Reclamations, and charge-offs.
13. Assists with the setup, monitoring, reporting and client support of TM products.
14. Assists with answering phones and customer service matters.
15. Assists with BSA Monitoring & Processing
16. Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements and applies policies and procedures in all activities.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
SUPERVISOR FOR: This position is presently not a supervisory position. FLSA status is exempt.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a banker or similar role.
- 5 or more years’ experience in Deposit Operations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of banking rules, regulations, procedures, and deposit operations.
- Excellent computer and math skills, including use of banking software and MS Office, (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service
- Decisive and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to effectively and persuasively express self, using language and grammar in a professional manner
- Highly motivated team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings, and make thoughtful recommendations.
- Comfortable user of fintech applications on personal devices.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
