Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Field Supervisor / Boom Truck Operator to lead on-site roofing projects while efficiently managing equipment operations. This role combines hands-on supervision of roofing crews essential for successful project execution. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality roofing solutions. You will play a vital role in ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of projects, all while maintaining excellent communication with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise roofing crews on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment such a boom truck, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently to support roofing installation activities.
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule work phases, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, equipment usage, safety incidents, and project progress.
- Assist in estimating project costs by providing input on equipment needs, material quantities, and labor requirements using construction estimating tools like HeavyBid or Primavera P6.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in roofing projects.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and other construction equipment; certified OSHA safety training required.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawing.
- Ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety standards and quality control measures.
- Strong management skills with experience supervising multiple crews or projects simultaneously; excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients and team members. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
