As an Equipment Manager, you will oversee the tracking, maintenance, calibration, and readiness of critical equipment that supports manufacturing and engineering operations while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Manage the inventory of calibrated equipment, tools, and measurement devices using asset management systems such as Maximo.
- Track calibration schedules and coordinate with internal teams and approved vendors to ensure equipment remains compliant and available.
- Perform incoming and outgoing equipment inspections, identifying damaged, expired, or out-of-calibration assets and coordinating repair or disposition.
- Maintain organized tool cribs, equipment storage, and calibration staging areas following 5S and FOD control standards.
- Support equipment check-in/check-out processes while maintaining accurate location, custodian, and status records.
- Generate and maintain calibration records, equipment history, and out-of-service documentation.
- Identify trends in equipment failures or calibration issues and communicate findings to Engineering and Quality teams.
- Assist with procurement, receiving inspections, and onboarding of new equipment into asset management systems.
- Support internal and external quality audits by providing complete and accurate documentation.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure equipment availability for scheduled work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in equipment management, calibration coordination, tool crib operations, or a related manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Experience managing calibrated equipment and inventory tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of calibration standards, traceability requirements, and measurement equipment such as torque wrenches, calipers, pressure gauges, and multimeters.
- Experience with asset management or calibration software such as Maximo, Indysoft, or similar systems.
- Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain an audit-ready environment using 5S principles.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control requirements.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related field.
- Aerospace, defense, or space manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems.
- Experience supporting internal or external quality audits.
This Equipment Manager position requires medium physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking throughout the facility, repetitive hand movements, and working both indoors and outdoors around manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, and other industrial hazards. Strong visual acuity is required for equipment inspections, measurements, and documentation.
