Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent – Waterworks to oversee field operations and overall construction activities across major water, wastewater, heavy civil, and industrial projects.
The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for managing project schedules, field productivity, labor costs, subcontractors, quality control, and safety while working closely with Project Management and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Make safety the top priority by partnering with Safety, Project Management, and field personnel to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage overall job progress by coordinating subcontractors, self-perform work, resolving problems, and maintaining strong quality and safety controls.
- Monitor and control project costs through regular evaluation of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control, and scheduling to ensure project schedules and budgets are achieved.
- Work closely with Project Management to identify and address cost, schedule, and production concerns.
- Take an active role in project start-up and closeout meetings.
- Communicate regularly with Project Management regarding project progress, challenges, and status.
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and subcontractors.
- Provide strong leadership by building cooperative relationships and taking ownership of project outcomes.
- Serve as a positive role model and promote a professional, productive, and collaborative jobsite culture.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of construction experience, preferably within water/wastewater, heavy civil, or industrial construction.
- Strong experience with piping and concrete construction.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas as required.
- Moderate to advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore, and/or Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently between project locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong understanding of construction mathematics, including percentages, proportions, area, volume, geometry, and related calculations.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
Physical & Working Environment
- Ability to perform moderately strenuous activities associated with construction administration and field operations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, sun, wind, and cold.
- Ability to safely walk and maneuver around active construction sites and navigate minor obstacles.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle materials, tools, documents, and other job-related items.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply principles of geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistical analysis as required.

Pay: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
