Respiratory & DME Manager

Spindale Drug Company and Spindale LTC Pharmacy are seeking a motivated, customer-focused professional to lead and expand our respiratory and durable medical equipment (DME) department.
This position offers the opportunity to develop and grow our CPAP and oxygen business while building strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, and patients throughout Rutherford County and surrounding communities.
A Respiratory Therapist license is NOT required. We welcome candidates with experience in home medical equipment, DME, pharmacy, medical sales, sleep therapy, oxygen services, healthcare operations, or related fields.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the respiratory/DME department.
- Grow our CPAP, oxygen, and respiratory services.
- Develop referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, clinics, and case managers.
- Coordinate patient setup, education, and follow-up.
- Oversee CPAP resupply programs and patient compliance.
- Assist with implementation and growth of home oxygen services.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and equipment tracking.
- Work closely with billing staff to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement.
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation, and payer requirements.
- Develop new business opportunities within our community.
- Monitor department performance and recommend improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following:
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Home Medical Equipment (HME)
- CPAP or sleep therapy
- Oxygen equipment
- Healthcare management
- Medical sales or physician relationship development
- Medical billing or insurance reimbursement
Strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer service skills are essential.
