Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in industrial and commercial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform precise electrical work on construction sites or existing facilities.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to diagnose issues effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams and frame carpenters to coordinate electrical installations within building frameworks.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections conducted.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in construction or maintenance settings.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical layouts.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, schematics interpretation, and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to operate various electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools necessary for electrical work.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes related to low voltage and high voltage systems.
