Iowa Valley CSD is looking for a Long-Term Substitute for Biology type classes to cover Maternity Leave from approximately September 2026 - December 2026.
Key Responsibilities

Instruction: Deliver pre-planned or newly created daily biology lessons, including engaging, hands-on laboratory sessions and activities.

Assessment: Grade student classwork, homework, lab reports, and exams. Update progress and communicate grades regularly with parents and administration.

Classroom Management: Establish a positive, safe, and productive learning environment that aligns with district behavior policies.

Collaboration: Partner with fellow science department teachers and building principals to maintain educational continuity.

Standards Compliance: Adhere to the eight Iowa Teaching Standards to support student achievement.
