Aura Urological Care is a growing outpatient urology practice committed to providing exceptional, compassionate, and convenient care to our patients. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Front Office
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations when needed
- Collect copays and process payments
- Scan and upload patient documents into the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Clinical Duties
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Record medical histories and update patient information
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness
- Assist the provider during office procedures
- Perform urine dipstick testing and specimen collection
- Prepare laboratory specimens for transport
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
- Maintain medical supplies and inventory
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
- Evening clinic hours (Monday–Friday)
- Weekend availability required
- Part-time with opportunity for full-time as the practice grows
