Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled part-time therapist to join our clinical team in an adult residential mental health setting. The therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy services to adults experiencing mental health challenges within a structured residential environment. This position plays a key role in treatment planning, clinical documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting clients through stabilization, recovery, and personal growth. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and participate in intake and admission processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy services as clinically appropriate.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, recovery, wellness, and life skills.
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with nursing, psychiatry, case management, and residential staff.
- Monitor client progress, identify clinical concerns, and recommend treatment modifications when necessary.
- Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning efforts.
- Assist with discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and community resource linkage.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in accordance with facility policies and applicable licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field required.
- Active state licensure preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) or license eligible depending on facility requirements.
- Experience working with adults experiencing mental health disorders preferred.
- Experience in residential, inpatient, crisis, substance use, or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
