Genesis Counseling is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and growth-oriented Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding multidisciplinary group practice. The ARNP will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication-management services to children, adolescents, and adults. Services may be provided to established Genesis Counseling clients as well as individuals receiving therapy outside the practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while remaining actively engaged with therapists, clinical leadership, intake, billing, and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses using clinical assessments, client history, and applicable diagnostic criteria.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based medication-treatment plans.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications based on clinical presentation, treatment response, and potential side effects.
- Provide timely medication-management follow-ups and continuity of care.
- Review and respond to medication-refill requests within established practice timeframes.
- Address urgent clinical and medication-related concerns during scheduled working hours in accordance with Genesis safety and escalation protocols.
- Coordinate care with therapists, physicians, schools, family members, and other professionals when clinically appropriate and properly authorized.
- Collaborate with the Intake Team to facilitate efficient scheduling, insurance verification, and chart preparation.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation, with notes completed within 48 hours.
- Follow Genesis policies and all applicable professional, ethical, payer, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a consistent schedule and proactively communicate changes affecting client care.
- Participate in appropriate practice-marketing initiatives, including a professional website profile and digital advertising.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of Genesis’s psychiatric services.
This position offers full-time opportunities with the flexibility to provide services in the office and through telehealth, as clinically appropriate and permitted.
Appointment expectations include a combination of initial psychiatric evaluations and medication-management follow-ups. Actual volume will be developed over time and may vary based on scheduling, payer mix, client needs, and provider availability.
Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Florida ARNP license.
- Current Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- Required psychiatric supervision or collaborative arrangements, unless legally exempt.
- Active and updated CAQH profile.
- Current professional liability insurance.
- Eligibility to participate with applicable commercial insurance plans.
- Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology across multiple age groups.
- Experience treating children and adolescents is strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, organization, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage follow-up care, refill requests, documentation, and scheduling demands reliably.
- Comfort using electronic health records; SimplePractice experience is preferred.

Compensation
This position offers competitive, percentage-based compensation for completed services.
Pay: $80.00 - $200.00 per hour
