Job Overview
We are seeking a Building Engineer to join our growing team. This team member will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of the company’s facilities infrastructure, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes hands-on management of building systems, equipment, and physical assets, as well as planning for upgrades and preventative maintenance to support the company’s operational needs.
Duties
- Oversee and conduct routine maintenance and repair of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Ensure all equipment and systems function safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, or improvements that increase efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with project timelines.
- Evaluate and recommend energy-saving measures and sustainability improvements.
- Complete a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all facility systems and equipment.
- Complete maintenance schedules, inspection logs, and work orders to ensure compliance and reliability.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in facilities engineering, building operations, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building management systems and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to building maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
