Job Title: Dishwasher
Job Summary:
A Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. They help ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and complies with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and storage areas.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables according to company procedures.
- Restock clean dishes and kitchen supplies in designated areas.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
