Core Responsibilities
- Equipment handling & setup: Load, unload, and position heavy equipment, pipes, and materials; assist
- Maintenance & repair: Perform basic maintenance, lubrication, bolt-ups, gasket swaps, and minor repairs on rig equipment
- Deck & site upkeep: Keep decks, walkways, and storage areas clean and organized; chipping rust, pressure washing, and painting
- Cargo & bulk transfer support: Prepare and connect hoses/valves for mud, cement, brine, or chemical transfers; conduct leak checks
- Assisting skilled crews: Help electricians, welders, and mechanics with consumables, tool runs, and hot work support
- Safety & compliance: Attend toolbox talks, conduct line-of-fire checks, and report hazards; follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Skills & Requirements
- Physical fitness: Ability to work long hours, in shifts, and in challenging weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge: Understanding of sling/rigging fundamentals, WLL/SWL, and safe lifting practices
- Tool operation: Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Safety awareness: Familiarity with H2S , OSHA 10, and other industry safety certifications
Work Environment
- Onshore: Rigs, lease sites, and production facilities in regions like the Permian
- Conditions: Variable weather, potential exposure to hazardous materials, and physically demanding tasks.
