We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team.
Job Description: The Teacher Assistant will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. The assistant will help in implementing the Montessori curriculum, preparing educational materials, and supporting students in their daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing Montessori activities and lessons.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, orderly classroom environment.
- Support students during learning activities, ensuring they are engaged and learning at their own pace.
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior.
- Help manage classroom behavior using positive discipline techniques.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Assist with the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a Montessori or early childhood education setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori philosophy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
