Job Summary
The Wise Fool is seeking an experienced line cook to join our small team in the Old North End. We serve staples of Middle Eastern diaspora cuisine, anchored by our scratch falafel and shawarma. Position is flexible but can be full-time for the right candidate. All team members share in our tip-pool and line cooks can expect to make around $30/hour after tips.
Responsibilities
- Be able to work either station on the hot line while maintaining a sanitary and organized workspace
- Be able to maintain quality and consistency during busy services
- Help clean the kitchen at the end of the night, including, but not limited to running dishes, sweeping and mopping, cleaning a fryer and properly rotating all product
- Be available nights and weekends
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining experience.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques.
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens or catering environments is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in food industry roles involving food handling, food service, and meal preparation is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
