Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: California
Contract Length: 6 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (3x12s)
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week
Pay Rate : $73/hourly
Mandatory Qualifications for this Job
- Active California Radiologic Technologist (RT) License (Required)
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography) certification (Required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support/HS-BLS/RQI BLS) certification from an approved provider
- Recent EPIC EMR experience required
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience within the last 5 years (Mandatory)
- Must have worked with EPIC and Cerner as a hospital employee or successfully completed a travel/contract assignment
- Work history must clearly identify the EMR/charting system used for each assignment
- Fluoroscopy License required in California within 6 months of hire
- Facility-required Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Hospital or acute care radiology experience preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray (Radiography) procedures as ordered by physicians
- Position and prepare patients for imaging examinations while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate digital radiology equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Adjust imaging techniques, exposure settings, and equipment according to examination requirements
- Utilize EPIC and Cerner EMR systems for accurate patient documentation
- Perform fluoroscopy procedures as required and within scope of practice
- Follow radiation protection, infection prevention, and HIPAA guidelines
- Verify physician orders and patient identification before procedures
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain compliance with ARRT standards, state regulations, and hospital policies
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging process
