About the Role
NSEI has installed and maintained low-voltage security systems for government and industry clients since 1999. We're hiring hands-on technicians to install, test, and service access control, video, and intrusion systems in secure environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, test, and repair low-voltage security systems (access control, video, intrusion)
- Run wiring, install hardware, and field-terminate all devices
- Inspect and test systems, batteries, and wiring; adjust and repair as required
- Verify workmanship meets quality standards
- Replace malfunctioning hardware when necessary
- Ensure installations comply with relevant specifications and codes
- Perform all duties safely and follow all relevant safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a 10-year FBI background check and work in high-security environments
- Ability to pass a federal drug test
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years installing access control systems (preferred)
- 2+ years installing network / IP camera systems (preferred)
- 2+ years maintaining IT infrastructure (preferred)
- Familiarity with access control and video management software
- OSHA certification(s) a plus
- Experience in airport, federal, or other high-security environments a plus
Physical Requirements
- Use of hand and power tools to install hardware and wiring
- Prolonged periods walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
