Job Summary
The ehs manager will lead manufacturing operations at the Houston facility while overseeing production, engineering, supply chain, quality, warehouse, maintenance, and environmental, health, and safety functions. This role will drive operational excellence, support team development, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Pay
$130,000 - $160,000 per year

Duties
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations for the Houston facility
- Oversee production, engineering, supply chain, quality, warehouse, maintenance, and environmental, health, and safety functions
- Maintain accountability for plant performance including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to drive operational excellence
- Partner closely with engineering, procurement, quality, and project management to support successful project execution
- Develop production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, and material flow
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Manage capital equipment planning and support future facility expansion
- Prepare operational reports and present factory performance updates to executive leadership
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and mentor production, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, maintenance, and operations teams
- Lead hiring, coaching, succession planning, and performance management for manufacturing leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, business, or a related field preferred
- 15+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Previous experience as a plant manager, manufacturing manager, director of manufacturing, operations director, general manager, or similar manufacturing leadership role
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within industrial manufacturing, structural steel, modular construction, fabricated products, or engineered equipment environments preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing large manufacturing teams
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, supply chain, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles
- Experience implementing ERP systems and utilizing manufacturing KPIs to drive operational performance
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Startup or greenfield manufacturing experience is highly preferred
