Job Overview
We are seeking energetic, compassionate, and dedicated Infant/Toddler/Twos/Floaters to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide nurturing care and engaging learning experiences for children from infancy through age two, ensuring their safety, development, and happiness. As a floater, you will have the opportunity to support various classrooms, adapt to different age groups, and help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment. Duties
- Supervise and care for infants, toddlers, and twos in accordance with licensing standards and program policies
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Assist with classroom management and organization to create a nurturing learning environment
- Support other staff members by covering different classrooms as needed (float) and sharing best practices
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child welfare or safety
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision standards
- Passion for nurturing children's growth and fostering a positive learning environment
