Position: Senior Electrical Inspector

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Inspectors with 4–7 years of experience, responsible for overseeing QA/QC inspection activities for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-current systems. Experienced in reviewing project specifications, design/shop drawings, ITPs, and inspection checklists to ensure compliance with project requirements, NFPA, NEC, and local codes. Skilled in monitoring electrical installations, verifying material compliance, conducting inspection and testing activities, and coordinating hold/witness points with clients and QC teams. Strong ability to support contractors, mentor QC inspectors, and ensure timely execution of inspection schedules through effective coordination and technical leadership.

Job Description:
- Review project specifications, design drawings, and approved shop drawings for all electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, low current, etc.).
- Validate and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and acceptance criteria for all electrical materials and installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
- Identify and define hold points, witness points, and surveillance points in coordination with the client and QC Manager.
- Verify that materials, cables, conduits, and equipment installations conform to approved data sheets and manufacturer standards.
- Review material test certificates, calibration reports, and installation records.
- Lead and monitor electrical inspection and testing activities such as continuity, insulation resistance, and megger testing.
- Coordinate with client representatives, contractors, and other disciplines to ensure quality and timely inspection schedules.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to electrical QC inspectors.
- Participate in daily QC coordination meetings and progress reviews.

Compensation, Budget, and Travel
- Hourly rate: up $60 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and project requirements
- Daily per diem
- Work schedule: Full-time, site-based role. Extended hours or overtime may be required during inspections, testing, and commissioning activities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
