Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled CDL Vac Operator to join our Directional Drill team! In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy-duty vacuum trucks equipped with specialized vacuums designed for excavation, utility locating, and construction site cleanup. Duties
- Safely operate CDL-certified vacuum trucks, including tankers, water trucks, dump trucks, graders, dozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, and horizontal drilling equipment on construction sites.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on vacuum trucks and associated machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Locate underground utilities using utility locating equipment to prevent damage during excavation activities.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, drills, and water trucks to support various construction tasks.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Coordinate with project managers and crew members to execute site cleanup, debris removal, and other logistical tasks efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks with a valid CDL license, preferably within the construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations, including utility locating and underground infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and OSHA standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Prior work experience in construction environments involving horizontal drilling, paving projects, or large-scale excavation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on Rival Vac.
- Knowledge of underground utilities
