What You'll Do
- Support the General Manager in daily operations, staffing, and performance management
- Supervise Shift Leaders and crew across all shifts
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Monitor food quality, speed of service, and guest satisfaction metrics
- Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction protocols
- Handle scheduling, time and attendance issues, and policy enforcement
- Step in as acting manager when the GM is unavailable
- Ensure full compliance with health code, food safety, and company standards
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of restaurant management or assistant management experience (QSR or fast casual preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and drive results
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and labor compliance (NY State experience a plus)
- Proficient with POS systems and basic reporting
- High standards for cleanliness, food quality, and customer experience
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Reliable transportation to multiple locations as needed

Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
- Support staff training and development to ensure high standards of customer service and food quality.
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate team activities, and supervise daily restaurant functions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper food handling procedures.
- Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by monitoring costs related to food production and labor.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a strong, motivated staff.
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
- Foster a welcoming environment for guests by delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates effectively.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties confidently.
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food industry best practices.
- Experience working in casual dining or fine dining environments is a plus; banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles including customer service excellence and kitchen management.
