Position Purpose:
Team with teachers, administrators, and other BTS Integration/Instructional Coaches to accomplish the Vision for Learning of Lake Mountain School District. Coaches will support schools in developing arts rich programs and school cultures that empower students to connect deeply to all areas of learning in and through the arts. Coaches collaboratively build capacity in everyone to leverage the power of the arts and arts-integrated pedagogies to drive deep learning and well-being.
Essential Functions:
The team of arts integration coaches share responsibility to:

Coach arts educators, grade level teachers and administrators for highly effective teaching, learning and administration of arts and arts integrated programs

Mentor teachers and model instruction with students. Coach educators to effectively address all strands of the arts core: Create, Present, Respond, Connect

Coordinate and support collaborative learning teams in the arts

Serve on various leadership teams across the district and BYU Arts Partnership

Develop leadership at all levels to support the growth of enduring arts programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Understanding of standards, pedagogies, integration, curriculum mapping and scaffolding in the arts and elementary grade-levels.

Ability to lead with vision and coach other professionals for improved outcomes

Experience teaching and collaborating in a BTS/arts integrated setting

Experience leading professional development and collaborative learning teams (PLCs)

Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, interpersonal and collaborative, presenting, technological, etc.
