We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently to optimize workflow.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, pet care, and general veterinary information.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including managing inventory of supplies.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care practices, including vaccination schedules and preventive health measures.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is highly beneficial.
- Skills in veterinary critical care, dog handling, aseptic technique, laboratory procedures, equine care, animal husbandry, and general pet care are advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care to animals and their owners.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.

Monday 12pm-12am
Tuesday closed
Wednesday 4:30pm-12:30pm
Thursday 4:30pm-12:30pm
Friday 4:30pm-12:30pm
Saturday 4:30pm-12:30pm
Sunday 3pm-12am
You must be able to work night and weekend hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
