Maintenance Assistant
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for preparing resident rooms for new occupancy by completing room turnovers ("flips") and maintaining the appearance and functionality of our facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare resident rooms for new move-ins by completing room turnovers in a timely manner.
- Perform interior painting, patch drywall, touch-up paint, and complete other cosmetic repairs.
- Install and repair flooring as needed.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets, fixing minor leaks, and unclogging drains.
- Perform general building maintenance, including minor repairs to doors, hardware, fixtures, and furniture.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Respond to routine maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Work independently while also collaborating effectively with the maintenance team and other staff.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience with painting and room/apartment turnover is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, flooring, and minor plumbing.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, visitors, and staff.
- Must be available for occasional on-call duties, as needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Level 2 Background Screening (required).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment and perform the physical demands of the position.
